Shubman Gill on fire against MI
In the Qualifier 2 played between the 5-times winner Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans. Gujarat has won the Qualifier 2 and entered the finals in style. In that match Gujarat played the phenomenal cricket and score a mountain of runs and gave MI the target of 234 runs.
In those 233 runs scored by Gujarat Titans, Shubman Gill has scored a blistering Century against the five-time winner of IPL. He was playing the aggressive cricket in the last match as he played the innings with the best strike rate in his career. He has hit 10 sixes in his innings of 129. Also he has hit 7 fours. He stroked the ball really well and strike rate was 215. In the Qualifier 1 against CSK, Gill has played the good knock of 42 off 38 balls, but he got out on a slower delivery bowled by the star bowler of CSK, Deepak Chahar has bowled a slower delivery and the ball gone up and Devon Conway took the successful catch on deep square leg after running towards the ball. He was really upset after his dismissal in that match as it was a soft dismissal.
After he got out on that delivery by Deepak Chahar, Gill may have decided that he will be giving his best in the next match against MI. So, he did same in the Qualifier 2. Shubman started the inning with ease as he was playing slowly and his partner Saha has accelerated the inning but as soon as Saha got out on delivery by veteran spinner of MI that is none other than Piyush Chawla, he has bowled a loopy googly on the wide off leg side, and Saha stepped out and missed the ball and got stumped out. After the dismissal of Saha, Gill accelerated his inning in then over of MI’s latest star Akash Madhwal and he made his over really expensive. After that he did not stopped as he striked the ball very aggressively and smashed his 3rd century of the season in 49 balls.
In this match the prince of Indian Cricket also became the Orange cap holder as well as 2nd highest run getter as an Indian player in IPL.
