How to choose college after JEE Mains 2023

If you are a JEE aspirant, selecting the college is a hard decision of your life . It affects your life directly. Top engineering colleges of India accept jee-mains scores. if you have scored good marks , qualified jee advanced rank or you are not qualified jee advance rank , got low score in JEE. You are thinking about counseling after jee to admission in engineering college private or government both. You must know about top counseling on JEE mains scores such as Josaa/CSAB counseling , JAC Delhi , state counseling’s ,UPCET , MPDTE , REAP , TNEA etc. other JEE score-accepting engineering colleges should be shortlisted by you.

Analyze your JEE rank
To choose a preferred college you must analyze your JEE rank to compare it with previous year cut off of JOSAA/CSAB counseling. Without analyzing rank you will not find a suitable college. Keep in mind that you compare it to NITs, GFTIs , other govt and top private colleges .
if JEE advance rank is not released or not conducted then wait for IITs. you have to compare it with other state counseling cutoffs.also note that
1. You can apply for counseling at IITs if your score is higher than the advanced cutoff.
2. If you are unable to take the advanced exam or if you do not meet the advanced cutoff.Based on your jee mains scores, Jossa will offer jee mains counseling.

Campus Placement Records
Keep in mind that before selecting the college you check the statistics of college placement.
Such as how many students have been placed in this year and previous year . how much companies visit for campus placements , see highest package , average package , placed students percentage etc. which company has given maximum placements . top MNCs which visit colleges to recruit students. Also you can talk to final year students and Alumni about college placements and environment.
Culture of College and Location
You should not take admission in college only considering placement. The environment has an impact on the engineering educators, students. College culture and infrastructure has an impact physically and mentally. If you are doing engineering from out of state then consider the culture of the state , languages culture especially in south india because there you spend 4-5 years of your life and How much college is far from your home.
Academic Fees and Accommodation
Before taking admission analyze and calculate your whole course fees and compare it with other shortlisted colleges and see how hostel and mess changes there. Discuss this scenario with guardians about budget , accommodation. They will take an education loan or pay themselves
Last but not least, kindly check the college Curriculum ,attendance policy , exams , faculty , infrastructure , and reputation of the college because You will invest important 4 to 5 years of your life and money in college.Also Find your interest about branch , think that when you pass out the college which Job opportunities you have.
If you have not performed well in jEE then you can consider dropping a year and prepare for JEE Mains again. It is totally based on you that prepare for jee or enroll in a course at the college or university.
