Harbhajan Singh, the turbanator of the Indian Cricket has been asked about the wicket keeping choice according to him and he has chosen the Star player from the Ahmedabad-based franchise, Gujarat Titan’s Wriddhiman Saha. As the star wicketkeeper of Indian team in the test had got injured that is none other than the spiderman of Indian Cricket,
Rishab Pant. And after pant the Indian team has the KS Bharat as well and the backup wicketkeeping option was KL Rahul but Rahul also got injured in the IPL in the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. And now as the option for the wicketkeeping in the Indian Cricket currently are Ishan Kishan and KS Bharat. But, Turbanator feels that the Indian team Should have selected the GT opener Wriddhiman Saha as the Wicket Keeping option and he also thought that he should have been in the playing XI of Indian test team in WTC Final.
In the IPL 2023, Saha has played the essential role as the opener for the Gujarat Titans. He has made 371 runs in the 17 matches that he played for GT and striked the ball with the strike rate of 130. He also has 2 half centuries to his name which came as the crucial knocks for the GT.
Turbanator’s choice of selecting Saha was not that bad as Saha has already played the test cricket before as he has debuted for Indian test team in 2010 against SA. He has made 1353 runs in test cricket at an average of 30 which is really good in context of the Test Cricket. He has 6 half centuries and 3 centuries in the test cricket for the Indian Team. As recently he was in red hot form for the Gujarat Titans, his IPL franchise so, the selection of Saha in the test team for the WTC might be helpful for the team India.
But, Indian team selectors have selected the young wicket keeper batter KS Bharat and the powerfull batting Wicket keeper Ishan Kishan as the star Indian wicket keeper is injured as the backup option Kl Rahul also got injured during IPL. And the WTC Final between India and Australia is going to be held in Oval Stadium, London from 7th of June.
